Arthur MahoneyArt Mahoney earned his Ph.D. student in the School of Computing at the University of Utah in 2014. His research under the mentorship of Dr. Jake Abbott involved magnetically controlled, wireless robotics. Prior to attending the University of Utah, Art received two B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at Utah State University (2009). As an undergraduate, Art conducted research in computational search methods for discovering novel cancer therapies (resulting in a journal and conference publication), massively parallel graph search strategies (resulting in multiple conference publications), and robotic motion planning. Art enjoys sailing, wooden boats, baking bread, barbecue, and the outdoors. After graduating from Utah, Art joined Dr. Bob Webster's lab at Vanderbilt University as a postdoctoral researcher.
