People: Troy Arbuckle

Troy grew up in Centerville, Utah. He earned a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Spanish minor from the University of Utah. As a senior, Troy worked with a team that designed a force feedback glove that was actuated with a shape memory alloy. Troy earned his M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Telerobotic Lab, co-advised by William Provancher. He studied how humans interact with force-input haptic devices known as admittance-type devices.

After defending his thesis, Troy took a position at Parker Hannifin.
